Del Morino rotary power harrows till the gound more gently and percisly compared to a rotary tiller. Multiple sets of verticle tines till and mix the soil at a depth you can set and adjust. This meathod does not turn over or compact the lower layers of soil resulting in a seed bed that is level and weed free without hardpan formation and without mixing subsoils into the top soil layer.

Scott H. - August 2025
We received our Power Harrow in August 2025 and have been very impressed so far. For context, we operate a 2.5 acre organic farm. Up until last year, we have been doing most of our primarily tillage using a BCS tractor. We have been using the Thieverge (BCS branded Power Harrow). The Thieverge power harrow is amazing, but also a bear to wrestle with our smaller BCS tractor (732). Late last season, we switched to a four-wheel tractor setup (a Kubota L3902) for two main reasons. One, as we are getting older, we are trying to preserve our bodies of ourselves and our staff. Two, after visiting a friend's farm, we were so thoroughly impressed with how much better of a job a four-wheel tractor does for primary tillage. Their power harrowed beds were immaculate.
We own the Del Morino Funny Top Flail Mower and the Power Harrow, and the build quality is exceptional. It shipped fully assembled, and Kevin pre-greases and checks everything, so it was ready to go once we un-crated it.
The first thing that is worth noting, is that we are on extremely, extremely rocky terrain. Like no one should farm here. Literally mountain side terrain and we have spent many years removing rocks/boulders our of our fields, so in some of our newest beds, there are still some quite large rocks (300+lb boulders) still in the field. Me being me, I tested out the harrow on some of our rockiest beds. I broke three PTO shear pins in the first bed and to be fair it hit some very large rocks (more than 10" in diameter). I have subsequently used it in our less rocky parts of the field and have had no issue. I'm currently inadvertently using a slightly heavier shear pin in the PTO (likely grade 5 vs grade 3) and haven't had any issues or any noticeable damage.
The Power Harrow is now a necessary part of our field management and bed flipping. It can turn a relatively roughed up bed (i.e. undercut carrots/garlic) into a perfect seed bed in one pass. The scraper blade and roller wheel really do nice work. It might make it a little compacted in heavier soil for transplanting, but works pretty great in our lighter beds. It's also perfect for direct seeding.
Also - got to love the Del Morino red.
